With landscaping in, there’s no Habitat Build on March 5

The Jamma family now has a landscaped front yard!

Thanks to the efforts of a great crew of volunteers we FINALLY completed the job last weekend after a couple of weeks of delays!

We finished in short time because we had a GREAT turnout of helpers! And, there were no blisters or sore backs. As far as we know.

So . . . That calls for a week off! There will be no Habitat House work this Saturday, March 5! Enjoy a well-earned break!

When we return – hopefully on March 12 – we’ll be coming down the stretch on the final stages of this build.

The remaining tasks include installing flooring, HVAC, plumbing (all done by professional contractors), cabinets and hardware in kitchen and bathrooms, and then small punch-list items.

We are aiming for a March completion, in time for an April 2 dedication. More about that as the time draws closer.

If you’ve never been to a Habitat dedication, do yourself a favor and put it on your calendar. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see the house that the coalition built and to meet the Jamma family.
