Esperanza is excited to welcome Andrew DeValk as the new choir director of Promesa de Esperanza!
Andrew has been a high school choir director since 2001 and currently teaches at Corona del Sol High School. He also has taught at Desert Vista High School (2005-15). He holds a bachelor’s degree in choral music education from Northern Arizona University and completed a master’s degree in choral conducting from Arizona State University.
Andrew and his wife, Jenna, love watching their two boys — Ryne,14, and Koen, 12 — perform in the marching band and compete in Arizona mountain bike leagues. The DeValks try to spend as much time in the woods together fishing, hiking, biking, and finding other ways to get out of the heat.
