Volunteers nailing down final details at Habitat house

Jim Gisselquist reports more good progress made last weekend!

By the end of Saturday, January 8, we had installed all of the doors, a good share of the trim, finished drywalling the bathroom, installed exterior door hardware and painted a portion of the garage and some of the shelving boards.

This was accomplished by an excellent group of volunteers. Thanks to all of you who participated!!!

This week, we hope to finish installing the trim, install window sills, paint the remaining shelving boards, install as many of the shelving units as possible, spackle all of the nail holes and begin to caulk all of the required areas.

According to our schedule, we have six Saturday build days remaining.

Please consider coming out and joining us!

I know that you’ll have a good time, feel the accomplishment of having helped build the house and meet some wonderful volunteers – AND get to enjoy a great lunch provided by one of the churches.

Enjoy these pictures of some of the activities last Saturday!

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, January 15!
