During the past two weeks, 28 pounds of food were donated by our Esperanza community to the Kyrene Family Resource Center!
That increases the total for the month to 103 pounds, and for calendar year 2022 to 234 pounds, which keeps us very close to pace to contribute a half ton – 1,000 pounds – this year!
Thank you to all who donated, making the lives of struggling people just that much easier.
What is Kyrene Family Resource Center? It supports basic needs of all Kyrene School District students, kindergarten through middle school. If needed, Kyrene families and employees may receive support from the center for immediate needs, such as gently used school clothing, food and hygiene supplies.
Top priority food needs are peanut-butter crackers, goldfish crackers, Cheese-its, granola bars and fruit snacks.
We encourage everyone to step up and help our neighbors in need! Donations may be placed in the KFRC box in the Fellowship Hall. Peggy and Larry Hanson deliver all donated food to the center on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
