Mask-wearing still optional for Esperanza indoor events

At Esperanza, we continue to follow CDC guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic with regard to face coverings in public places.

In response to the CDC’s Feb. 25 implementation of COVID-19 Community Levels, we follow the level for Maricopa County and have updated our own policy to align with the CDC’s most-recent guidelines.

I pray that we continue to see continued improvement throughout our community. And I give thanks to God for your continued care for the most vulnerable of our population and your love for one another as we follow Christ through these days. Let us continue holding one another in Christ’s Love.

God’s peace and grace to you,

Esperanza face-covering policy as of March 20

Esperanza is continuing to follow CDC guidelines with regard to face covering in public to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, wearing masks for indoor events at Esperanza currently is optional.

On Feb. 25, the CDC began using COVID-19 Community Levels to help communities determine appropriate virus-spread prevention steps.

At March 20, the CDC declared Maricopa County to be LOW level. CDC guidelines for LOW level are as follows:

  • If you are at high risk for severe illness, talk to your health-care provider about whether you need to wear a mask and take other precautions.
  • Stay up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccines.
  • Get tested if you have symptoms.
  • People may choose to mask at any time. Those with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during the last two years. We will continue to monitor the situation and continue following CDC guidance as it is updated.
