Approximately 15 hard-working volunteers – who all went home with paint on their shirts, pants, shoes, face, hair and hands – turned out last Saturday to work at and paint the Habitat House.
As a great testimony to their hard work, we got all of the interior painted with at least two coats, and all remaining shelves were installed, caulked and painted.
Another great lunch was served by Holy Trinity Lutheran Church members. The cooks had enough food and were gracious enough to offer meals to some of the volunteers from the neighboring Habitat builds. It was appreciated and enjoyed by all.
This Saturday we will be painting the exterior of the house. Again, remember to wear your paint clothes!
Work gets underway at 7:30 a.m. at the house, 677 W. 19th Street in Tempe.
