Our Kyrene New Year’s Resolution: Gain a ton — and we’re well on our way!

As we roll into February, we are proud of the generosity of our members already this year! You have donated 89 pounds of food for the Kyrene Family Resource Center! What a difference this makes in people’s lives.

We are on pace to donate 1,000 pounds this year – a half ton!

Keep it up! The need for food does not end just because the holidays fade behind us! The top priority food need is healthy snacks for kids, such as granola bars and gold fish crackers (in individual packets).

Kyrene Family Resource Center in Tempe supports basic needs for all Kyrene School District students, who are kindergarten through middle school.

If needed, Kyrene families and employees may receive support from the center for immediate needs, such as gently used school clothing, food, hygiene supplies and school supplies.

Esperanza members are encouraged to donate non-perishable food and school supplies. Donations can be placed in the KFRC box in the Fellowship Hall. Peggy and Larry Hanson deliver all donated food to the center on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
