In this advent season, Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest (LSS-SW) is asking for gift donations for clients in need. Clients include:
- Older adults without blankets, or those who are unable to replace worn blankets.
- Youth in foster care, separated from families, going through difficult and emotional times.
- Refugee children and families starting over, learning a new culture and language.
- Children from low-income families whose parents struggle to make ends meet.
Esperanza has set a goal to provide a gift to at least 40 clients served by LSS-SW. The ministry of our congregation can make a world of difference to the vulnerable in our community.
To participate in the Angel Tree project:
- Select a gift ornament from the Angel Tree.
- Place the unwrapped gift in a holiday gift bag, along with a packet of gift tissues.
- Bring the gift to the church office or to worship for collection. Please drop off the gifts at the church no later than Sunday, Dec. 3.
Note: Please purchase toys of a nonviolent nature, out of respect for trauma that clients may have experienced.
