Let’s Celebrate 35 Years Together!

During our communion liturgy we often sing Now the Feast and Celebration. Well, it is time to celebrate an important birthday in our life as a community: the 35th anniversary of our founding. A team of members is already at work planning the celebration, on February 23, 2025. Would like to help us?

Imagine: we will start at Monte Vista School, where we worshipped before our building was complete, and process to our present sanctuary. There we will thank God for gathering us to love and serve each other and the community. At the conclusion of worship we’ll process outdoors, where we will cross a bridge representing our journey together into the future. As our communion song proclaims, He makes all things new!

Then, because we are Lutheran, we will feast!

Plans are underway for a permanent feature on campus representing this milestone, and the Boy Scouts are helping make that happen. We are also planning to invite our former pastors, community groups, and folks that were members over the years.

But we are still looking for ideas, and for helping hands to make February 23, 2025, a day that we remember where we came from and look joyfully to the future.
