Help Support the Navajo Lutheran Mission After Devastating Flooding
The Rock Point community in the Navajo Nation has experienced devastating flooding. Families have been displaced, the community school gym is serving as a local shelter, and emergency personnel have been stationed at the Chapter House since Oct. 17.
Staff at the Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission have continued serving the community, but early Saturday morning, Oct. 24, floodwaters reached the Mission itself. With more rain in the forecast, the need for assistance remains urgent.
How You Can Help
Monetary donations can help the Mission provide immediate services and support cleanup efforts. Contributions can also help meet essential needs, including bottled water, diapers, and single-serving, shelf-stable foods.
If you are able, please consider making a donation to support the Mission and the families affected by the flooding.

Esperanza Lutheran Church will also be sending a contribution to the Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission this week as part of its annual mission plan. Additional donations are needed to help the Mission respond to the flooding and support the affected community.
Thank you for keeping the Rock Point community in your thoughts and prayers and for supporting those working to help their neighbors during this difficult time.
