It is that time of year to consider charitable donations for our Habitat for Humanity house. We ask for your help in financing this home building mission by donating to Habitat for Humanity Central AZ on behalf of the Southeast Valley Lutheran Coalition.
The primary way that the Coalition raises money is from donations from individual supporters that utilize the Arizona tax credit program and receive a dollar for dollar tax credit. The credit is up to $800 for a joint return and $400 for a single return. Itemizing on your state tax return is not required to claim the credit. The deadline for contributions is April 15, 2022; however, we would appreciate that donations be made prior to December 31, 2021. Also, if you itemize your charitable deductions on your federal return, you need to submit your donation before 31 December 2021.
Contributors will receive a formal thank you letter from Habitat for Humanity, which serves as a donation receipt for tax purposes. The tax credit program works just like the school donation programs and you can do both!
Donations can be made online at Donate Online – Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona (habitatcaz.org). Be sure to mention that you are donating on behalf of the Southeast valley Lutheran Coalition Esperanza Lutheran Church.
If you wish to donate by mail the checks can be mailed to either the new physical address or the P.O. box.

Important Notes: Checks are made out to Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona not Esperanza. Please remember to include in the memo line on you check “SEVLC Esperanza Lutheran Church” so that our church gets credit for the donation. Also, we request that you do not drop your checks off at the church.
