Eighteen volunteers from Esperanza helped to prepare and serve a pancake breakfast for the homeless on Aug. 13 at Grace Lutheran Church in central Phoenix.
A total of 158 plates of food were made for approximately 120 guests. Preparation of breakfast started at 6:30 a.m., and cleanup was completed by 8:30.
