Esperanza Hunger Ministry: Big thanks to volunteers at Kyrene resource center

Fifteen volunteers from Esperanza donated their time May 14 to help families served by Kyrene Family Resource Center in Tempe.

Their tasks during the two-hour session included sorting donations, preparing food boxes, stocking food and personal-hygiene shelves, cleaning the clothes-racks area and preparing bags of personal-hygiene products.

Thank you to our Esperanza volunteers: Kathy and John Gemma, Jane and Jim Gisselquist, Kristie and Randy Wright, Michele Tinsley and son, Kathy and Robert Elsasser, Kelly Edwards, Craig Peck, Julie Valenzuela, and Peggy and Larry Hanson.

The Esperanza team also delivered 50 pounds of non-perishable food to KFRC.

Resource center officials estimate that approximately 700 families in Kyrene School District are coming to the center for help.

If you have questions, please contact Peggy or Larry Hanson.
