In May 2025, a new Nominating Committee was elected. The primary task of the Nominating Committee is to select candidates for the Church Council in advance of the Council elections in the May congregation meeting.
The Nominating Committee may also be asked to select candidates for other positions required by the constitution (for example Audit and Nominating Committee) and bylaws. If you are interested or feel called to participate on the church Council or other formal committees then come see us or call us.

During Esperanza’s January Congregational Meeting, the six Nominating Committee members above were elected to one-year terms.
The Nominating Committee is established by the Esperanza Constitution as a standing committee. An important committee task is to “…seek out leaders who will guide (the) congregation to fulfill its mission…” by serving on the Congregation Council.
The Nominating Committee hopes to accomplish that task by April 23rd in time for the congregation to consider those leaders during the May 15 Congregational Meeting.
Per the Esperanza Constitution, the Nominating Committee should consist of six voting members of the congregation, two of whom, shall be outgoing members of the council.
The primary task of the Nominating Committee is to select candidates for the Council in advance of the Council elections in the May Congregational Meeting. The Nominating Committee may also be asked to select candidates for other positions required by the constitution and bylaws. (for example, Audit and Nominating Committee).
As of March 2, 2026, the Nominating Committee is working on 3 council member nominees to be voted on in May 2026 to fill the 3 outgoing members of council. In addition, the Nominating Committee must replace itself with a new committee.
