Dear Esperanza,
I have one more week with you, then a couple of weeks before I begin at New Spirit Lutheran Church in Tucson, where I’ll share a two-year interim position with my husband, Fred.
It has been such a very strange time, and I haven’t had a chance to get to know nearly as many of you as I had hoped. But I have felt very much a part of Esperanza, and I will miss you. Thank you for welcoming me warmly and for many supportive messages along the way.
I will be praying for you and for the Spirit to be at work as you call your new “regular” pastor. God has given you each other for support and some new faces to work alongside you in the next months. May patience and unity prevail at Esperanza, and may God show you clearly the way to move forward.
