This Sunday: Commune at the Altar
This week we are taking the next step toward a return to our pre-pandemic communion practice.
Worshippers will be invited to come forward to receive the bread and wine. The bread will be placed in your hand and then you will take an individual cup from the tray. Those serving communion will thoroughly sanitize their hands, will wear masks, and will not touch your hand directly. Only the worshipper will touch the cup. As you return to your seat, there will be a basket to receive your used cup.
Alternatively, you may continue to use the individually-wrapped wafer and cup if you prefer. If you choose this option, you may either remain in your seat to eat and drink or come forward, as you so choose.
Safety Practices
Our current mask policy provides that people who are fully vaccinated (one or two shots depending on the vaccine) do not need to wear a mask. If you are not vaccinated or have not completed your vaccination we ask you wear a mask for the safety of children, youth and those whose immune systems are compromised. We continue to practice social distancing. The staff have all been fully vaccinated.
Thank you for your help as we continue to move forward on the path to normal!
