The mission of the Community Outreach Team is to serve and connect with the community by sharing the love of Christ in meaningful, supportive, and uplifting ways.
Empowered and inspired by the Holy Spirit, we are committed to serve — one another and our neighbor. Below are some of the places in our community where we do God’s work with our hands.
Feed My Starving Children
A global Christian organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit.
Grace Lutheran Church Homeless Outreach
Includes Sunday morning pancake breakfasts and sack lunches for summer heat respite.
Kyrene Family Resource Center
Supplies food, school supplies, and other needs to families in our school district.
I-HELP (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program)
A temporary shelter for homeless adults hosted by Desert Cross Lutheran Church.
Festivals & Parades
Annual Easter Parade / Spring Fling organized by the local Kiwanis Club, and the Children’s 4th of July Bicycle Parade, organized by the Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce
Habitat for Humanity
Helping build homes for wonderful families in our community.
Garden of Eatin’
Raised beds for members and neighbors to garden.
Kyrene de la Esperanza Elementary School
A local elementary school.
Children of Hope Child Development Center
Our preschool for children 2-4.
Street Trash Pickup
Quarterly pickup of trash along S. Ranch Circle E. between Ray Road and S. Mountain Parkway.
Packing Naloxone Kits
Conduct annual packing event with Sonoran Prevention Works. Naloxone kits are used to help reverse opioid overdoses.
