Love Was on the Menu at Esperanza Valentine’s Dinner in Chandler

Dean Martin sitting at a table with a cakeLove was in the air, along with the tantalizing aroma of food, as Esperanza members and guests convened at Buca di Beppo restaurant in Chandler for a special Valentine’s dinner.

The occasion attracted 37 people on the evening of Feb. 11. Most in attendance seemed to agree that the Valentine’s dinner — once a regular event but suspended during COVID-19 — should be resumed on an annual basis, according to Julie Valenzuela. Several in the group said they would be interested in getting together at other times of the year, as well, she said.

Esperanza members Herb and Barb Pinske celebrated their 12th anniversary the same evening and brought a cake to church the next day.
