Nominating Committee Seeking Interested Members to Serve in 2025 and Beyond

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

During the January 28th, 2024 Annual Congregational Meeting, the Congregation approved the 2024/25 (partial year 2025) Nominating Committee membership to serve for 2 terms.

Per the Esperanza Constitution, the Nominating Committee should consist of six voting members of the congregation, two of whom, if possible, shall be outgoing members of the council.

Michael Paradise (retired council member)
Craig Peck (retired council member)
Michelle Tinsley
Susan Vega

The primary task of the Nominating Committee is to select candidates for the Council in advance of the Council elections in the May Congregational Meeting. The Nominating Committee may also be asked to select candidates for other positions required by the constitution and bylaws (for example Audit and Nominating Committee).  

As of February 25, 2025, the Nominating Committee is working on 4 council member nominees to be voted on in May 2025 to fill 4 outgoing members of council.   In addition, the Nominating Committee must replace the current Nominating Committee.
