The Kyrene Family Resource Center needs help to separate donations, stock food shelves, pack hygiene supplies, and assist with other tasks. In response to this need, a work event has been scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. This is a great opportunity for our youth to get involved in responding to a community need. Those 10 and older can participate with an adult.
Esperanza members have been donating non-perishable food to the KFRC for many years. The center supports basic needs to help all Kyrene School District students achieve their maximum potential. Kyrene families and employees are eligible to receive support with immediate needs, including food, gently used school clothing, hygiene supplies, school supplies, and connections to outside agencies and resources.
The center is located at 1330 E. Dava Drive, Tempe, west of Kyrene de los Ninos Elementary School. If you are interested in participating in the work event, please sign up below. There also will be a sign-up sheet in the narthex at church. If you have any questions, or if you would like to carpool, contact Larry Hanson at [email protected]
