July 1, 2024

Volunteers Needed: Prepare Pancake Breakfast for the Homeless on August 11th.

Every Sunday, Grace Lutheran Church located in downtown Phoenix hosts a pancake breakfast for the homeless.  On August 11, Esperanza will prepare and serve breakfast.

Following are key details:

1. Volunteers will need to be on-site (Grace Lutheran) from 6:30 AM to approximately 8:30 AM to prepare and serve pancakes and sausage, and cleanup.
2. Could serve one hundred + people.
3. Grace Lutheran will provide the food supplies and equipment.
4. Need 12-15 volunteers.
5. Would like a mix of youth (12 and older) and adults. At least half of our volunteers must be 18 or older.
6. A liaison from Grace Lutheran will be in attendance to provide guidance.
7. If you are interested in carpooling, contact Larry Hanson.
8. Esperanza will need to provide a $250 check to Grace Lutheran to cover the cost of food ingredients. Donations to help cover this cost would be helpful.
If you are interested in participating in this event, please sign-up on-line or in the Narthex.
If you have questions, please contact Peggy or Larry Hanson [email protected] or (480) 231-4023.
