2 KFRC Opportunities to Help Others: Work Event on Nov. 15 and Thanksgiving Dinner

Esperanza Helps with Thanksgiving Dinner for Families Served by KFRC

With the suspension of SNAP benefits, the Kyrene Family Resource Center (KFRC) is seeing an increased demand for food from families that are experiencing food insecurity. The KFRC is working to collect and provide food for these families to have a Thanksgiving dinner. The Kyrene Foundation will provide a $50 gift card that families can use to buy a turkey and a few trimmings. The KFRC is asking for the following donations: • Canned cranberry sauce • Boxed stuffing • Canned green beans • Boxed mashed potatoes • French’s Crispy fried onions • Canned mushroom soup • Turkey bags If you can help out, please place donations in the shopping cart in the Fellowship Hall by November 17. Any questions, contact Larry Hanson at [email protected]. Thank you.

If a scheduled event, the date it is over: 2025-11-17

Work Event on Saturday, November 15

Esperanza families have been donating non-perishable food to the Kyrene Family Resource Center in Tempe for many years. The KFRC also needs help to separate donations, stock food shelves, pack hygiene kits, and more.

To respond to this need, a work event has been scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 15. This is a great opportunity for our youth to get involved in response to a community need. Youth age 10 and older can participate when accompanied by an adult.

KFRC is located at 1330 E. Dava Drive, Tempe, west of Kyrene de la los Ninos school. If you are interested in participating in this event, please sign up in the Fellowship Hall or by submitting name, email address, and age of youth(s) 10 or older to Larry Hanson at [email protected].
