The transition team met for the first time on Saturday. Paul Beeks, Liz Farquhar, Michelle Tinsley and Paul Wagner are working with Pastor Sarah to plan the worship, prayer and dialogue opportunities that will help us find, welcome and work with a new pastor.
During a Service of Remembrance on Sunday, February 5 we will tell the story of our faith community and ask God for forgiveness and help as we set off on this new journey. During worship services, Faith in Motion activities will help us build the flexibility and adaptability we will need going forward. Wednesdays during Lent, you will be invited to participate in contemplative prayer before our midweek service.
Through small group gatherings and a survey, the team will gather thoughts about our identity as a community, where God is leading us, and what kind of leader we need to address our mission. This data will contribute to the Ministry Site Plan, a tool that the call committee will use in its work.
