Summit Set for Nov. 4 by Lutheran Advocacy Ministry of Arizona

From the office of Lutheran Advocacy Ministry in Arizona (LAMA):

Join us on Saturday, Nov. 4, for our fourth annual LAMA Summit! This year’s summit will be hosted by Love of Christ Lutheran Church in Mesa from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Congregational hunger leaders, advocates, LAMA liaisons, the LAMA policy council, and clergy will come together to meet one another and learn about this year’s theme, “Advocacy as a Spiritual Practice.” Whether you have been with us since our office opened, or you are just finding out about our ministry, all are invited to attend and connect with other Lutherans across Arizona who share a common call through our baptismal covenant “to strive for justice and peace in all the earth.”

Join us for devotions, introduction to advocacy as a spiritual practice, panel discussion, a Q&A session, social time, and the announcement of LAMA’s policy priorities for the upcoming year. We will share the ways that advocacy and spiritual practices impact our lives, and advocates will share ways you can integrate advocacy into your own practices. Everyone is invited to bring forth issues that are important to you or your community, as well as questions on spiritual practice.

Lunch will be provided this year!

The 2023 LAMA Summit is a great opportunity to meet the LAMA team, find out more about our work, and learn how you can get involved. We look forward to seeing you there!
