Poetry: Rabbit

Rabbit resides in the garden
Surrounded by vines.
To slake her thirst,
I leave water in a little bowl,
And to thank me,
Rabbit
Chews up my orange marigolds,
Leaving
Behind only the nubs of stems.
Rabbit has it good,
I think,
Brushing away the mess she
Creates
Entering and exiting her home, and then
Comes the happy revelation…
So do I!
