This Sunday! Pancake Breakfast for Homeless at Grace Lutheran

A person standing in a kitchen preparing foodEsperanza is preparing and serving a pancake breakfast for the homeless on Sunday, May 4, hosted by Grace Lutheran Church in downtown Phoenix. As many as 100 guests are expected.

Here are the details:

  • Volunteers will need to be on site (Grace Lutheran) from 6:30 a.m. to approximately 8:30 a.m. on May 4 to prepare and serve pancakes and sausage, and to help with cleanup.
  • Grace Lutheran will provide the food supplies and equipment. Esperanza will need to provide a $350 check to cover the cost of the food.
  • Ideally, we would have a mix of youth (age 12 and older) and adults as volunteers. At least half of the group must be 18 or older.
  • A liaison from Grace Lutheran will be on hand to provide guidance on the day of the breakfast.
  • If you are interested in carpooling, contact Larry Hanson at [email protected] or (480) 231-4023.
  • If you are interested in volunteering, contact Peggy or Larry Hanson at [email protected] or (480) 231-4023. Name and email address are needed in advance for each volunteer.
