Nice Work! Volunteers Pack 1,200 Naloxone Kits for SPW

On April 12, following our church service, 28 Esperanza volunteers and Barb Yurka assisted Sonoran Prevention Works (SPW) in packing 1,200 naloxone (narcan) kits.

Naloxone is a medication approved by the Food and Drug Administration designed to rapidly reverse an opioid overdose. SPW will distribute the kits to outreach sites in six Arizona counties. SPW’s core focus is to support individuals through overdose education, naloxone and supply distribution, HIV and hepatitis C testing, and a harm reduction outreach program.

Thank you to everyone who helped pack! For any questions, please contact the Community Outreach Team at [email protected]
