The mission of Feed My Starving Children is “Feeding God’s Children in Body and Spirit.”
Fifty volunteer spots have been reserved for us at FDMC for an event scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9 to 11 a.m. The address is 1100 W. Grove Parkway, Suite 101, Tempe. The deadline to sign up is Oct. 4. We will be packing bags of “manna” (soy, vitamins, protein, and rice).
You can sign up online at the FMSC website. Go to www.fmsc.org, then “Get Involved,”, then “Volunteer,” then Arizona. Under “Looking for a Specific Group,” type in Esperanza Lutheran Church, then “Join,”, then “Who is attending”/agree to FMSC Guidelines/continue, then “Please Provide Attendees Names.” Add your name(s) and email addresses.
Alternately, you can sign up on the sign-up sheet in the fellowship area and you will be added. Or you can text Peggy Shepherd at (602) 570-2377 and let her know to add your name(s).
If you are not able to attend this event (or even if you are!), donations are much appreciated (but not required). Donations are how FMSC is funded. An amount of $106 feeds a child for a year, but each and every donation helps! You can donate on the website, or on the day that you attend.
