Lutheran Day at the Legislature

Lutherans from across the state will gather at the Arizona Capitol in Wesley Bolin Plaza for a day of advocacy on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am to learn, to witness, and to voice our common needs in the public square, activating our faith in love.  Meet your legislators, meet congregational Lutheran Advocacy Ministry of Arizona (LAMA) liaisons, meet your LAMA policy council, and meet other Lutherans across Arizona who share a common belief that we are called through our baptismal covenant “…to strive for justice and peace in all the earth.”  A light breakfast and coffee will be served as we meet and greet, mingle, hear speakers, meet representatives and pray for justice and for all who serve in government.  Wesley Bolin Plaza (download map) is in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. We gather on the west side of 17th Avenue. The Capitol Parking Lot is at 1798 W Jefferson St #1750, Phoenix, AZ 85007. Parking is available from west Adams Street as well as from west Jefferson Street.  To register, go to https://lamaz.org/news-blog/lutheran-day-at-the-legislature.  Questions?  Talk with Pastor Sarah who serves on the policy committee for LAMA and will be attending.
