Jim Gisselquist says lots of volunteers are needed this Saturday!
We’re on-schedule with the building process at our latest Habitat for Humanity home.
The roof is now complete! Thanks to the many great volunteers who did an amazing job. And, all interior drywall blocking is done: 2X4s and 2X6s are placed throughout the house to facilitate drywall installation.
The windows are in and we’re waiting for the lath to be placed on the exterior of the house, which forms the foundation for the stucco, and this Saturday we’ll begin to put up the drywall. We start with the “lids” (ceiling drywall) and then complete the walls, spending the next three Saturdays completing this task. We’re really hoping that many volunteers will show up as there are many rooms and much drywall to put up.
Just a reminder – we will not be working Saturday, November 27th as it’s the Thanksgiving holiday.
Thanks again to all of those of you who have helped with this build – both the construction workers as well as the meal providers.
