Esperanza Volunteers Made Sure Fourth of July Was a Blast

It was a hot but happy Fourth of July, and Esperanza played a big part in it. For the Children’s Bicycle Parade, a tradition sponsored by the Ahwatukee Chamber of Commerce, the church had two tents for face painting and games. Kristin Baldwin and her daughter Amanda took charge of the face painting, and games were hosted by Herb and Barbara Pinske.

We gave out water, drinks, bubbles, and other fun items to children who stopped by. They had a great time! The parade began in the parking lot at Foothills Baptist Church and ended at Thunderhill Park, across the street from Esperanza.

Esperanza’s volunteers did an impressive job of organizing, setting up, working with the children, and taking down. Thanks to the Outreach Team and to all who came out to help Ahwatukee celebrate the country’s birthday! See you next year!
