Last year, St. Mary’s Food Bank, with the help of volunteers, generous donors, and support of 600+ partner agencies, packed and distributed 102+ million pounds of food throughout most of Arizona. You are invited to join the Esperanza team on Saturday, August 1, at St. Mary’s Food Bank to help pack food boxes from 11:45am – 2 pm.
Following are the details:
• Please arrive at 11:45 AM to check-in.
• Age requirements: 12 years with an adult and 16 without an adult.
• Dress code: sneakers or boots only. No sandals, flip flops, crocs, flats, or any shoe with an exposed foot. Shirts must have sleeves (long or short). No tank tops. • Gloves are optional but recommended.
• You are encouraged to leave belongings at home. Lockers will be available if needed.
• You can bring your own water bottle/hydro flask and use the onsite filling stations.

If you don’t have an account with St. Mary’s Food Bank, you will need to establish an account. Please note that some of the information requested is optional, and you don’t need to provide.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation from St. Mary’s Food Bank. If you register online, please send Larry Hanson an email at [email protected] providing name(s) of those registered.
• If you prefer not to register online, please contact Larry Hanson at the email address above with the names in your group that will be participating. Or, add your name to the sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall.
• Our hope is to fill at least 25 volunteer slots.
• Please complete registration (via one of the approaches described above) by July 5.
• The packing facility is located at 2804 North 29th Avenue, Phoenix. Enter the site from 29th Avenue.
• On site parking is very limited. Upon entering the site, follow the volunteer directional signs.
