Esperanza to Assist SPW by Packing Narcan Kits on Sept. 13

Sept. 13 is “God’s Work, Our Hands” Sunday, the ELCA’s annual day of service across its church congregations. After our worship service, in the Fellowship Hall, Esperanza will assist Sonoran Prevention Works (SPW) in packing naloxone (Narcan) kits. The event will conclude at noon.

Naloxone is a medication approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose. SPW’s core focus is to support individual people through overdose education, naloxone, and supply distribution; HIV and hepatitis C testing; and harm reduction outreach programming.

If you would be able to help with this packing event, please sign up in the Fellowship Hall. Direct any questions to Barb Yurka at [email protected].
