Celebrating Children in Worship

God put the wiggle in children! Parents, do not feel you have to suppress it in God’s house. All are welcome!

To the families of small children:

We have created a special space for small children and their families. It’s called the PrayGround, and it is a place where children may play quietly during the service and participate in worship with their parents.

When you bring a young child to a worship service:

  • Encourage quiet play and whisper voices.
  • Quietly explain the parts of the service and the actions of the pastor, deacon, ushers, choir, etc.
  • Sing the hymns, pray, stand and voice the responses during the order of worship. Children learn worship behavior by copying you.
  • If you feel the need to leave the service with your child, feel free to do so. The Nursery is located across the courtyard in room 2 but please come back! We love your children and we want to let them know that they are at home in this house of worship.
To our members of our Congregation:

The presence of children is a gift to our church. Children bring light and life to our church family. They are a reminder that our community is growing! Please welcome our children and give a smile of encouragement to them and to their parents
