All are welcome to worship at our Ash Wednesday service of Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion at 7 tonight.
The service will be live-streamed and can be viewed by visiting myesperanza.org/worship and scrolling to the Video Player in the center of the screen.
Ash Wednesday begins our 40-day journey toward Easter.
Marking our foreheads with the ash of the palm fronds from last year’s Palm Sunday, we “remember that we are dust, and to dust we shall return.”
We also receive the Bread and Wine of Holy Communion with the promise of abundant and eternal life in Christ.
It is a day to begin a return to our baptismal call, more intentionally bearing God’s mercy and hope into the world.
