Some of you have been asking about the next opportunity to provide dinner for Family Promise families being hosted by St. Benedict Catholic Church. It’s great to see so much interest!
Hosting will take place on one evening during the week of December 27th through January 2nd. We won’t know the exact evening until the call for volunteers goes out around the beginning of December, so stay tuned!
Wondering what Family Promise is all about?
The mission of Family Promise is “to provide emergency shelter and social services to help families move from homelessness to employment, permanent housing, and self-sufficiency.”
There are 34 greater Phoenix congregations that support this mission by hosting transitioning families with children for the evening meal and overnight accommodations. St. Benedict’s is one of these congregations. To learn more about Family Promise, visit their web site at www.familypromiseaz.org.
