Esperanza Lutheran Church is excited to welcome Marcie Donavon as our new Music Director and Choir Director of Promesa de Esperanza!
Marcie brings more than 20 years of experience in church music leadership. She served as music director at Living Water Lutheran Church from 2003–2023 and has also worked as a music educator with Grand Canyon Unified School District and Clark County School District. She has also served as Audience Development Director for Farran Media, LLC.
Marcie holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education, summa cum laude, with an emphasis in choral studies from Northern Arizona University.
Marcie is already a familiar face at Esperanza. She is a member of our congregation, frequently serves as a lector and assisting minister, and previously served as our interim choir director. We are excited to have her take on this role officially and look forward to seeing our music program grow under her leadership.
Marcie and her husband have two children and five grandchildren. Outside of work and church, she enjoys singing karaoke, game nights, reading, hiking, road trips, and quiet evenings watching reruns of The Big Bang Theory and Friends.
Marcie says she finds her true purpose in serving the Lord through music ministry and is excited to share her passion for music with Esperanza Lutheran Church.
