Help Pack Naloxone Kits for ‘God’s Work, Our Hands’ on Sept. 8

Sept. 8 is “God’s Work, Our Hands” Sunday, the ELCA’s annual day of service. In the Fellowship Hall following our church service, Esperanza will assist Sonoran Prevention Works in packing naloxone (Narcan) kits. The event will conclude at noon.

Naloxone is a medication approved by the Food and Drug Administration designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose. SPW’s core focus is to support individuals through overdose education, naloxone and supply distribution, HIV and hepatitis C testing, and harm reduction outreach.

If you are able to help with the packing event, please sign up in the Narthex or by providing your name, email address, and indication of youth or adult to Larry Hanson at [email protected] or (480) 231-4023.
