Esperanza’s Web server is moving to a new, state-of-the-art data center on Thursday, August 10th. This move should improve both the Web site’s speed and reliability.
We’ve been told by the server relocation team to expect a service outage of between 2 to 4 hours, so if you have difficulty reaching the site on Thursday please try back again later in the day.
Scheduled outages used to be more frequent in the information technology world. These days, server reliability is vastly improved and well-choreographed events like data center relocations only require brief shut-downs. It’s been several years, for example, since the MyEsperanza.org Web site last experienced a scheduled outage.
