The Esperanza congregation, in cooperation with the Ahwatukee community and other Lutheran churches, made the Project C.U.R.E. medical donation drive a success. Through the efforts of our neighbors, Grace Lutheran and Central Lutheran Church, we helped provide aid to the families driven from their homes in Ukraine by conflict.
During the three-week drive, Esperanza delivered:
1 IV roller stand.
1 wheelchair with foot pads.
2 roller chairs.
5 walkers with wheels.
14 new backpacks.
15 walkers without wheels.
18 pairs of adjustable crutches.
25 canes 1-, 3- and 4-foot styles.
Also, approximately 210 pounds of consumable items consisting of diapers, feminine products, spirometers, soap, baby wipes, medical and disinfecting wipes, intravenous supplies, ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, bed pads, rescue blankets, large and small boxes of Band-Aids, eye wash, rolling gauze, bandage wraps, petroleum Jelly, large compress gauze pads and elastic gloves were generously given.
Our congregation has shown the community how we can come together to help others!
We had many inquiries from non-members on drop-off times, what can be donated and the location for a donation. This is a great method to get the Esperanza ministry known to others in the area!
Thanks to all for your support in making this effort to help people in a worn-torn nation a HUGE success!
