Video: 26 Years Building Habitat for Humanity Homes

As part of the Southeast Valley Lutheran Coalition, Esperanza has been building affordable homes. Taite Paradise interviews our volunteers to learn about the program and why they spend Saturdays and Tuesdays wearing hard hats. Click on the picture above to watch.

We Appreciate You Pastor Annemarie!

October was Pastor Appreciation Month, so Peggy Wagner swung into action. She got the word out and soon notes started arriving for our pastor. On Sunday we presented her with a gift bag full of cheer. The Children of Hope Preschool also got in the act, painting pictures and creating a colorful banner.

Thank you Pastor Annemarie!

Poetry: Rabbit

Rabbit resides in the garden

Surrounded by vines.

To slake her thirst,

I leave water in a little bowl,

And to thank me,

Rabbit

Chews up my orange marigolds,

Leaving

Behind only the nubs of stems.

Rabbit has it good,

I think,

Brushing away the mess she

Creates

Entering and exiting her home, and then

Comes the happy revelation…

So do I!
