Ahwatukee Foothills CROP Hunger Walk Nov 13: Grab Those Walking Shoes!

Esperanza is taking the lead in organizing the Ahwatukee Foothills CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, November 13, at Desert Foothills Park. The fundraising event supports the global mission of Church World Services, a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement, and disaster. We have established a community fundraising goal of $25,000 for the Walk. Seventy five percent of the money will be used internationally; 25% will be donated to our local Kyrene Family Resource Center.

We have invited all places of worship and community organizations in Ahwatukee Foothills to participate in the Walk, as well as the community at large.

Following is an overview of the Walk:

2:30 PM – Onsite registration (for those that have not registered on-line) and Steve Newell & Jazz Band
3:20 PM – Remarks
3:30 PM – Walk (1 mile or 3.4 mile)
